May Flowers in the Chalet Company Garden
The spring equinox brings us back to more hours of light. We revel in sunny skies, lighter spirits and clothing, the sights, sounds and smells of new life… I went for a walk yesterday and spring in its riotous rebirth struck me anew. As it has for millions of artists over the centuries.
The company chemist at Chalet was owner and Master glass blower Sergio Pagnin. He created and mixed the colour recipes for each and every form created during the company’s life. Art inspired by nature.
Let’s take a look at what the colour palette of a “Chalet spring flower garden” could look like. I know flowers are typically ordered by the dozen, but I got carried away so here are 14 examples of glorious spring flowers and the pieces of Chalet by which I think they could be presented.
Chalet azaleas.
Chalet bluebells.
Chalet carnations.
Chalet cherry blossoms.
Chalet crocus.
Chalet daffodils.
Chalet dogwood.
Chalet gerbera daisies.
Chalet hyacinth.
Chalet iris.
Chalet lilac.
Chalet peony.
Chalet trillium.
Chalet tulip.
And to end things off on a glorious note - a “mixed bouquet.”
I did not use individual attributions in this article as I thought it detracted from the beautiful images. However, I would like to thank collectors and 50 Shades members Malla Birns, Ella Hanks, Cindy Bishop-Laughlin, Melissa Patterson, Jo Highland, Kevin Hall, Jonathon Tremblay, Dwain Robertson and Craig Brunetti for photo use.
