Chalet “Gets It All Together”

In coordinating the Chalet exhibit and writing my books, I have been fortunate to work with some great photographers who helped me bring the glass “to light and life.” In particular, one of them, David Fraser, loved, loved, loved to do shots of larger groupings. – as long as my cats were locked in the garage! So, I thought it would be fun to showcase some “epic” groupings we did together. These don’t get shown very often as I tend to concentrate on individual forms, styles etc. in the articles. However, it would be a shame to not showcase these. So, here it is – a standalone spread highlighting groupings of at least four with a shout out to all my photographers.

I’m going to show you a handful of David’s photographs and then present the rest in a video. All the pieces in the following photographs and video were in my personal collection at the time of the photo shoots with David – dating 2010 through 2013.

A familiar one - the 50 Shades group banner picture. This was tricky - baskets can be unstable and so many together…

Another Facebook banner photograph - from Chalet Glass Collectors.

Putting together that video made me realize I could not stop there. No - so many other collectors, myself included, had taken lovely photographs of large scale groupings of their collections as well. So - here Chalet “gets it together” part 2!
